Karen is an inspirational artist who chooses her medium to suit the subject.

Her art journey began in 1996 with the birth of her first child in Sweden.

Karen was born in England where she studied to be a chef, which then evolved into another creative medium, painting and sketching.

​

One will usually find Karen with a sketchbook and pencil ready to capture a moment in nature.

Her passion revolves around nature, light and people which is why she now resides in Cape Town, the perfect location for her to be continually inspired by the people and scenes around her.

Her Aurora home and studio allows her to be free to create in which ever medium she desires. Sketching in delicate pastels or capturing a tree in charcoal. To painting in her studio in acrylics or oil. 

She has held a variety of exhibitions since 2000, solo and with fellow artists and hopes to expand and exhibit in the UK in 2018.
